Automation is the Future

Automation is the use of machines and computers that can operate without needing human control. Automation uses artificial intelligence to perform tasks. As opposed to using human labor, automation provides a greater output for a smaller input. While it can be more expensive than using human labor, automation results in error-free results. Human labor is also less reliable and consistent. That is why many companies are moving toward using automation to perform many tasks.

Automation is done using bots. A bot is an autonomous program on the Internet that can interact with systems or users. A bot can operate without human control. Two types of task bots are generally used in modern companies that use automation: a Task Bot and a Meta Bot.

A Task Bot performs repetitive tasks that are rule-based and reliant upon structured data. These bots are easy to build and operate. Task Bots are error free in their performance of multi-step processes. In businesses, HR administration, IT services, and payment-related services use Task Bots. The greatest value of a Task Bot is in the rise of productivity and cost-saving and the reduction of errors.

Another Bot used in automation is a Meta Bot. A Meta Bot is more complex than a Task Bot. It is a scalable automation building block. A Meta Bot can be reused in many tasks, like applications on a computer. A Meta Bot is also capable of working through application updates and changes. In addition, a Meta Bot can offer offline development. This can be handy for many reasons. An expert verifies a Meta Bot to work in a company-wide automation.

Human Labor is not Going Anywhere
A common misconception against the advancement of technology is that as (AI) increases, humans are forced to compete with it instead of advance alongside it. Automation will never fully overtake the role and work of humans in customer support. It will never be as powerful as humans. The human voice at the end of the line or chat box reassures the customer that the problem is being addressed.

Technology is a tool. Without humans, technology is useless. Given the tools, people can do wonderful things with it. Technology helps people be better workers by enhancing their performance and saving time. Computer programs and algorithms can make many processes faster. However, technology alone cannot make a business successful without the human touch. The task of problem-solving needs human input.

As Charles Darwin posited, the species that survived were not necessarily the strongest but the most adaptive ones. We need to adapt to the technology-heavy society and use technology as a tool that supports us and is in our control.

While people think that automation will completely eliminate the need for human labor, the fears are not logic-based. Innovation and invention will keep people moving forward. Humans have come this far with technology and advancement because they are constantly working on ways to improve our living and working conditions. Humans are not becoming less important in the workforce as automation becomes more and more common.

The statement that MOST accurately explains how “Human Labor is not Going Anywhere” presents information differently than “Automation is the Future” is:

A It references the ways human labor is used in conjunction with automation, while “Automation is the Future” primarily lists the ways automation is used in the workforce.

This option captures the essence of how the two texts differ in their perspectives on human labor and automation, with the first highlighting the coexistence and interdependence of both elements, and the latter focusing on the applications and advantages of automation.
