Australia is battling water and air pollution caused mainly by

nuclear power.
mining.
pesticides.
oil spills.

1 answer

This statement is inaccurate. While Australia does face environmental challenges, particularly in regards to water and air pollution, nuclear power is not a significant factor. Australia does not currently have any operating nuclear power plants and has no plans to develop them in the near future. Mining, particularly of coal and other fossil fuels, is a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution in Australia. Pesticides are also a concern for agriculture and the environment, while oil spills can occur from shipping and offshore exploration activities.
