Question

As part of my study on the holocaust, I need to come up with 10 items I can fit in my back pack because I'm being sent off to a Nazi work camp. These items are supposed to be from this time in history.

My first thoughts are food and medicine. I'd also include a change of clothing and a favorite book. How about a notebook?

What else would you include?

I would also put in some things that contain good memories of home such as photographs and old letters, etc

Since they most likely will be confiscated by the guards, what difference do the objects make?
