Art Work Assignment
Create a piece of two-dimensional visual art, such as a drawing, painting, or photograph. Focus on effective use of art elements and principles and showing mastery of the art tools that you are using.
When you have finished with your art piece, take a digital photograph of the piece. Insert the photograph of your artwork into a word processing file and answer the questions below in the same file. The file with the photograph of your artwork and the questions should be submitted to the dropbox for this assignment.
Describe the piece you created. What materials and tools did you use to create the piece?
What inspirations did you have for the piece? For example, were you inspired by something you’ve seen or experienced, or did the piece come from something you imagined?
What meaning does the artwork have? What message or meaning would you want a viewer to get from the piece of art you created?
What art elements or principles did you use in the artwork? Describe how you used at least three elements or principles of art and the effect that the element or principle of art has on the overall piece. For example, if you used lines in your artwork, you might describe the type of line you used and what effect this line has for the composition or feeling of the artwork.
