(Answer this in grade 10 level) For this assignment, you will be creating a travel brochure for a fictional setting from a book that you have read. Settings help to transport the reader to these locations, and creating a travel brochure takes this idea a step further and allows you to really dig into the different aspects of setting and how the author clearly expresses setting in a book. This activity requires you to collect details from the text, as well as write about setting in a meaningful way. Possibilities for you to choose from of made-up realities might include: Narnia, Harry Potter’s world, The Hunger Games world. You are also welcome to use more realistic settings from fictional novels.

Your travel brochure may be created in a word processing program, drawn by hand and photographed to submit, or done on a Power Point type program. It is not necessary that it be a traditional tri-fold brochure, as long as it is creative and includes all of the information required.

Please use the included handout as a reference to record relevant information and any important page numbers so that you can use actual textual evidence in your brochure. You will need to either recreate the page or copy and paste it. Before creating your actual brochure, it is advised you take notes that cover the bulleted items below; you may do so on your version of the recording sheet that is included. Refer to the example notes to get some ideas.
