I don’t think the Continental forces could have won the American Revolution without foreign aid. First of all, countries like France and Spain provided crucial support, including money, weapons, and troops. For example, France sent a lot of soldiers and helped train the Continental Army, which was really important for their success. The French navy played a huge role during the Battle of Yorktown, helping to trap the British forces and force their surrender. Without that kind of help, the Continental forces would have struggled even more against the well-trained British army. Also, the financial support from foreign countries helped the Continental Congress fund their military efforts and pay their troops. So, overall, foreign aid was essential for the American Revolution, and it’s hard to imagine the Continental forces winning without it.
