What is a variable?
a factor that can change in an experiment
An experiment is a procedure to test a hypothesis. This is because a hypothesis is the first part of an experiment and becomes the basis of what is being tested. The purpose of an experiment is to test a hypothesis, demonstrate a fact, or make a discovery through a general procedure. A variable is anything that has the ability to change, this does not mean they always do. An example of a variable could be the temperature of an object.
