AN empty 5-gal water jug weighs 0.75lb. With 3 c of water inside, the jug weighs 2.25 lb. Predict the weight of the jug with 5 c of water inside.

change in weight = 2.25-.75 = 1.5 lbs
So each "c" must weight .5 lbs

Weight = .5c + .75

PLug in c = 5
