An electron, starting from rest and moving

with a constant acceleration, travels 5.5 cm in
10 ms.
What is the magnitude of this acceleration?
Answer in units of km/s

1 answer

Vf = d/t=5.5*10^-2m / 10*10^-3s=5.5m/s

a = (VF - Vo) / t,
a = (5.5 - 0) / 0.01 = 550m/s^2.

a = 550m/s^2 * (1/1000)km/m=0.55km/s^2.
