An art projector takes a 5 x 5" picture and enlarges it 14 times. What is the largest size, height and width, it can make?
Have tried a formula of 5" x 14= 70,
so 5 x 5" = 70 x 70 = 4900,
4900 divided by the side, 70,
= finished size of 70 x 70" ?

Multiply each side by the sq. root of 14:
5*sqrt14 = 18.708 In., Each side.
A2 = 18.708 * 18.708 = 350 sq. In. = 14
times A1.
NOTE: sqrt = Square root.
