An airplane has a mass of 34,500 kg and takes off under the influence of a constant net force of 45,000 N. What is the net force that acts on the plane's 80 kg pilot?

I am pretty sure gravity is down, so that makes mg down. Now the other force: What direction is it? If it is the force horizontal, then

F=ma in horizontal
45000=34580 a solve for a
then force on pilot horizontal is 80a

now you add horizontal force and gravity to get net force.

The problem here is I am pretty certain the plane is moving upward, indicating acceleration and the 45000 is not just horizontal.
(80/34,500) times the net force, since the pilot accelerates at the same rate as the plane. Force is proportional to mass.
