an 8 ounce can of tomatoes costs $1.14. an 12 12 once can costs $1.75. which can of tomatoes has the better unit price? PLEASE SHOW WORK

Unit price is price per ounce, usually expressed in cents per ounce. For the first can,
1.14/8 = 0.1425 $/oz = 14.25 cents/oz
Now you do the second can and compare them. They are pretty close in unit price. Sometimes the bigger size is not the better deal.
