Okay, so, like, if you look at the picture, there are these two mice, right? They're twins and have the same genes, which means they should be pretty much the same size. But, like, one of them is, like, way bigger and fatter than the other. So, my guess is that what they eat or their diet is what's making the big difference.

To make sure I got it right, I made sure to control the other things that could affect their size. That means I kept them in separate tanks that were the same size and made sure they were the same age and from the same litter. Those things, like, stay the same for both mice. So, since the only thing that's different between them is what they eat, I'm pretty sure that's the main factor making one of them bigger.

Controlling variables and making sure the mice were the same in everything except their diet is a way to be sure that I found the right factor. It's like making an experiment to see what's causing the difference. And by doing that, I know for sure that it's the food they eat that's making one mouse so much bigger than the other.
