after finding distance and midpoint.. how do you find the equation of the line?

1 answer

find the slope using the distance and put the points into the point-slope equation

y1 - y= m times (x-x1)

so if you have the points (3,4) and the slope is 5 then the equation would look like this:

4-y= 5 (x-3)

then distrubute the 5
so its 4-y = 5x -15

then solve it for y
