According to the Star Trek "Fifth Interstellar Geophysical Conference Standard" version of the periodic table, there are 140 known elements.

In what group of the periodic table would you place element 117, "topaline" which is reported to have been discovered on Ganymede in 2021?

If the symbol for topaline is To, predict the formula of a compound that presumably would result from the reaction between calcium and topaline, and name the compound.

http://www.webelements.com/ and look for element 117. It seems to me to be in group 17 which makes it a halogen (like F, Cl, Br, I, etc).
Therefore, just as the chloride is CaCl2, this compound would be CaTo2 I would name that calcium topalide (which matches NaCl of sodium chloride etc).
Group: 17 (7A)
Formula: MgTo_2
Name: Magnesium Topalide
why is the response from Barz so downvoted its right and useful lol
