One aspect of the Western school system that could be improved is the inclusion of diverse perspectives in the curriculum. Currently, many subjects primarily focus on Western history and viewpoints, which can leave out important contributions from Indigenous cultures and other global perspectives. By integrating more diverse stories and histories, especially those of Indigenous peoples, students like me could gain a better understanding of different cultures and experiences. This would not only make education more engaging and relatable, but it would also help promote respect and appreciation for all backgrounds, creating a more inclusive learning environment for everyone.
