About the Role

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor is key to our warehouse team, responsible for managing warranty processes, overseeing warehouse assets, and coordinating logistics to ensure deliveries and efficient operations that directly support farmers. You’ll assist with inventory counts, uphold 5S and CIP standards, implement pest control, and manage warranty data. Additionally, you’ll supervise delivery officers and casual labor for loading/unloading, ensure FIFO/FEFO distribution, collaborate on scheduling for cost-effective deliveries, and monitor warranty issues. Reporting to the Warehouse Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in improving operations and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction. This role is based in Kayonza.

Qualifications
Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: At least 1-2 years of proven experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a similar role within a logistics or manufacturing environment. Experience should include direct responsibility for physical inventory counts, warehouse organization, and inventory distribution.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in WMS (Warehouse Management System)
Skills in data analysis to track inventory levels, discrepancies, and to produce accurate reconciliation reports.
Familiarity with 5S, Continuous Improvement Processes (CIP), and pest control management for seed or similar inventories is required.
Soft Skills:
Team collaboration skills, with the ability to work individual and part of a team.
Ownership
Ability to work under pressure.
Physical Requirements: The role may require physical activities such as walking and standing for long periods. Therefore, physical fitness is necessary for conducting physical inventory counts and overseeing warehouse operations.
