Whispers of Winter
Snowflakes dance from the sky,
Like tiny stars lost on a journey,
Landing softly on the ground,
Blanketing the world in white.
Trees wear coats of glittering frost,
Branches extended like open arms,
Welcoming winter's chilly breath,
As stillness settles all around.
The air is crisp, a refreshing kiss,
Breath turns to clouds, fluffy and bright,
Kids bundled up like walking marshmallows,
Chestnuts roasting, laughter echoing near.
Footsteps crunch on the frosty path,
Making art with every careful step,
A snowman stands tall, proud, and round,
With a carrot nose and buttons of coal.
Evenings glow with twinkling lights,
Hot cocoa warms cold fingers,
Families gather, stories shared,
As winter wraps us in its cozy embrace.
Each flake is a whispered secret
Only winter knows how to tell.
With every breath, we feel the chill,
But in our hearts, the warmth will swell.
