Summer's Whispers
Summer dances in the golden sun,
Waving hello with warm, gentle breezes,
The sky, a vast ocean of blue,
Where fluffy clouds drift lazily,
Like cotton candy battleships.
Children laugh, their voices blending
Like colors in a painter's brush,
Splashing in pools of sunlight
And creating rainbows with garden hoses.
Ice cream drips down sticky fingers,
Flavors dancing on tongues like joy.
Fireflies twinkle at dusk,
Winking secrets in the softening light,
As stars peek out, shy and bright,
Telling stories of faraway places.
Campfires crackle, sparking laughter,
While toasted marshmallows melt like dreams.
Long days stretch like the shadows,
Time slows down, wrapped in warmth,
Nature sings its summer song,
Busy bees buzz in colorful blooms,
And the scent of fresh-cut grass
Wraps around us like a big hug.
Summer, oh sweet summer,
You paint our memories in bright hues,
With every moment a treasure,
We gather them like seashells,
Holding them close until the fall,
When we'll whisper your name,
And wait for your return.
