A trainee is hired by a computer manufacturing company to learn to test a particular part of a personal computer after it comes off the assembly line. The learning curve for an average trainee is given by N=200/4+21e^-0.1t

How many computers can a trainee be test after 2 days of training? So it would be N=200/4+21e^0.2
How do you compute 21e^-0.2

4 answers

N = 200 / ( 4 + 21 e^-.1t)
I think may be what you mean
e^-.2 = 1/e^.2 = 1/1.2214= .8187
so
N = 200 /( 4 +21*.8187)
= 9.44
Note that as time becomes large, N becomes 200/4 or 50 so no matter how long you train, you will never test more than 50 a day.
