A tennis player throws a tennis ball vertically up with an initial velocity of 50m/s. Another player catches the ball after 0.43s. Find the time upward, time downward, and the vertical distance upward.

well, time up is the same as time down, the max height can be found at time .43/2.

It would have taken 50/9.8 or 5.1 seconds to get to the top of the arc. But person two caught it after .43 sec so it was on the way up. No downward. And y = 50*.43 - 4.9(.43^2) = 20.6m
