bottom: 15*30=450 ft^2
sides: 2*15*5 + 2*30*5 = 450 ft^2

So, now you know the total area, and how much each can will cover...
Hi, I am still confused because if the total area is 450 square feet and 1 can of paint covers 250 square ft. the answer is 4 gallons I know that much but the problem and math does not show that. Can you please explain. Thank you
A = 2*(15*5) + 2(30*5) + 30*15=900 Ft^2.
= Total area to be painted.

900Ft^2 * 1gal/250Ft^2 = 3.6 Gal. of
paint needed. Buy 4-1gal. cans.
