i did delta L = (alpha)(initial L)(delta T)
delta L = (12E-6)(58.5)(55.7) = 0.0391 m and i got it wrong. i tried that answer as negative too and it was still wrong. so does anyone know where i went wrong? i REALLY appreciate that help!!!
