3.06 10^-4 is correct for the mols.
mols = g/molar mass.
You know mols and you know grams. Solve for molar mass of the unknown compound. (Ethanol is the solvent, not the unknown.
A solution contains 0.0653g of compound in 8.31g of ethanol. The molarity of the solution is 0.0368m. Calculate the molecular weight of the compound

The molarity of the solution can't be 0.0368 m. It can be 0.0368 molar or it can be 0.0368 molal. Which is it.
I think you MUST have meant molality.
molality = mols/kg solvent
0.0368 m = mols/0.00831 kg.
Solve for mols = 0.0368 x 0.00831
mols = g/molar mass
You know mols and g, solve for molar mass.
so i got 0.0368 x 0.00831 = 3.06 x 10^-4
and the molar mass of ethanol is 46 grams
so can some one help me in where to plug these in right please
