Short Video Script (2 Minutes)
Hey everyone! Today I'm really excited to share my thoughts on three amazing Canadians that I found super inspiring! The ones I looked into are Terry Fox, Viola Desmond, and David Suzuki. Out of these three, I have to say that Terry Fox really stands out as the most inspiring for me!
So, you might be asking why? First off, Terry was just a regular guy who decided to take on a huge challenge after battling cancer. He set out to run across Canada to raise money for cancer research, which is super brave! Can you imagine running a marathon every single day? He did that for 143 days before he had to stop because the cancer returned. Even though he didn’t finish his run, his determination raised millions of dollars and inspired countless people!
Another reason why Terry inspires me is that he turned his personal struggle into a movement that changed lives forever. Every year, we still have the Terry Fox Run, which brings communities together and reminds us of the power of hope and perseverance. He showed us that one person can make a difference, and that’s something I really admire!
So, yes, while Viola Desmond and David Suzuki are incredibly inspiring in their own ways—Viola for her fight against racial discrimination and David for his environmental activism—Terry’s message of hope, courage, and determination resonates with me the most! Thanks for listening, and I hope you check out these amazing Canadians!
