Well, it is certainly not from over on the right there where the Halogens live.
Since Cl is a halogen, group 7 which is missing an electron in the outer shell and wants to grab one to become a Cl-1 ion,
we really want something with an extra electron easily removed. That means way over on the left, like lithium or Sodium or Potassium. Those are the group 1 column. If it is shiny it might be Lithium
