I figured it out, 6/12 simplifies to 1/2 and 3 3/4 = 15/4. Do (2/1)(15/4), your answer will be 30/4. The mixed number will be 7 2/4. Simplify it to 7 1/2.
3 3/4 = 3 + 3 / 4 = 12 / 4 + 3 / 4 = 15 / 4
2 ∙ 3 3 /4 = 2 ∙ 15 / 4 = 2 ∙ 15 / 2 ∙ 2 = 15 / 2
= ( 14 + 1 ) / 2 = 14 / 2 + 1 / 2 = 7 + 1 / 2 = 7 1/2
2 ∙ 3 3 /4 = 2 ∙ 15 / 4 = 2 ∙ 15 / 2 ∙ 2 = 15 / 2
= ( 14 + 1 ) / 2 = 14 / 2 + 1 / 2 = 7 + 1 / 2 = 7 1/2
Your answer is correct.
