It appears to me that the assignment is clearly stated. I assume you have read the story. If not, that is the first thing to do. Then you can write the central theme of the story in your own words. Make a list of the things that support the central theme and include them in your writing. As you read the story it would be a good idea to take notes about the details. Then mark those that you think are important and those that are not too important. For the important ones you should summarize how they were used in the story and write your summary based upon that. I would wrap up the paper with a sentence or two (or perhaps a very short paragraph) that will tell you teacher/instructor how this has helped you in your studies and/or in the class you are taking.
