A piece of lumber two and one forth feet long is to be cut into three equal pices. How long will each piece of cut wood be? Give the measurement in feet and in inches.

(9/4)/3 = 3/4

3/4 * 12 = 9 inches

2.25 / 3 = 0.75 feet = 9 inches
