well, round trip is just part...what about loading/unloading time? Assuming 2.5 min to load 36 passengers, assuming none trips.. each vehicle can make 90/20=4 trips (if you assume a silly zero time to load and unload, 5 trips.
1134/36=32 trips
number cars=32trips/4 trips/car
= 8 cars.
Frankly, 2.5 min to unload or load 36 people is probably wishful thinking...
and, no car never in the shop? I would plan on 9 vehicles if I were in charge.
. A mine workers' transport vehicle can carry 36 workers. All workers need to be transported to the mine daily across a 90 minutes period: 6.30-8.00 in the morning, and 4.00-5.30 in the afternoon. The round trip takes 15 minutes. If 1134 workers need to be transported every day, morning and evening, how many vehicles would be required assuming the mine vehicles are the only option for workers to get to the worksite?

Can you please explain more why you’ve used 20 for the calculation of 4 trips. Thanks
20 min per trip :(15 min + 2.5 load+2.5min unload=20min
Thank you
