A map is drawn to a scale of 1:3000.two points on the map are 9.5cm apart .what is the actual distance between the points?

1:3000 means that 1 cm on the map represents 3000 cm in real life.
Thus, 9.5 cm on the map represents 9.5*3000 cm in real life.
