a man bought a certain number of toys for rs 180 and he broke two of them. Then he sold each of the rest for Rs.10 more than he had given for it and thereby he makes a profit for Rs 60. find the number of toys he initially bought

Assuming he bought n toys, and they were all the same price, then he paid 180/n for each toy.
(n-2)(180/n + 10) = 180+60
Hmm. I don't get an integer solution...
If you meant he paid rs 180 for each toy, then
(n-2)(190) = 180n+60
n=44
Check:
44*180 = 7920
42*190 = 7980, a profit of 60
