A line that is parallel to the graph of y=1/2x+7

I think it is 1/2.
A line that is perpendicular to the graph of y=-2x-3
I think this one is 1/2 as well.
Find the x-intercept of the graph of each equation.
3x+2y=7
2x+3y=7
I got (0,7) for both of them.

1 answer

the 1st two answers are EQUATIONS of lines

parallel lines have the same slope
so just change the +7 to something else

you are right about the perpendicular slope__so change the -2 to 1/2

the x-intercept means that y equals zero__so plug in zero for y and find x
the form will be (x,0)
