disinterested?

Ms.Sue you told me it should be maximum but groundless and disinterested are the only options. So is my answer still correct?

I don't see a scientist needs to be not interested in the truth.
It says disinterested means fair minded,free from selfish motives ;indifferent on my paper. What does that mean
