A dress cost $12 more than a shirt. Yasmin bought 3 such dress and 5 similar shirt for $356. much did she pay for each shirt?

I just can't work it out :( so I total 3 dresses most $36 more than the shirt.. Then. I am lost.

Ok i got it
$12x3=$36
$356-$36=$320
$320/8=$40

Price of each shirt is $40.

Am I right?
