A description of climate at a particular location would be different than a description of a weather. This is mainly because of the time peiod that is being considered.

how do the length of time periods beign referenced in descriptions of climate and weather compare?

Weather is considered on a daily basis -- although forecasts include the next few days.

Climate is considered the wide range of weather for as long as scientists know it -- usually for a hundred years or much longer.
