definition of mode (according to wikipedia):
the mode is the value that occurs the "most frequently" in a data set or a probability distribution.

think about it...
a. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
b. 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 6, 7
c. 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 7
The answer is B. single mode and bi-modal.
Depending on the values in the set, any could apply. however, if they occur on a chance basis, one mode is typical.

Anonymous' example of a is correct. However, to be bimodal, the most frequent scores must be separated.

b. 1, 1, 2, 3, 4, 4, 5, 6, 7

c. 1, 1, 2, 3, 4, 4, 5, 6, 7, 7

What are the values in your set?
