A cylindrical water tank of diameter 1.4m and height 2.1m is being feed by a pipe of diameter 3.5cm through which water follows at the rate of 2m/per second . In how much time the tank will be filled ???

volume of tank
= π(.7^2)(2.1) = 1.029π m^3

radius of pipe = .0175 m
volume of water per second going through pipe
= π(.0175^2)(2) = .006125 m^3 /sec

time = 1.029π/.006125π sec = 1680 sec
= 28 minutes
how did the radius become 0.0175? 3.5 is the diameter so 3.5/2=1.75
pls correct.iam confused with this qyestion
