a computer teacher has 20 students 8 who are women and 12 are men. her other class has 30 people how many must be women so that both classes have the same ratio of women to men

1 answer

if class1 has a ratio of women:students as 8:20 = .40, then class2 must have equal probability.

So then
.40 = x/30
x = 12

so class2 must have 12 female students
