A computer game was originally priced at $59.99. It was marked down 15%. Then it was moved to a clearance rack marked "Take an additional 50% off the lowest marked price." What was the final price of the computer game?

12 answers

59.99 * 0.85 * 0.50
First find the new price at 15% off
$59.99 * 15%
$59.99 * .15
$9.00
Subtract 9 dollars from the price
$59.99-$9.00
50.99
Now take 50% off
$50.99 * 50%
$50.99*$.50
$25.50
$50.99-$25.50
$25.50 is the final price
I hope this helped you or if not I don't really care
By the way 100 - 15 = 85 :)
Am I supposed to know what that means
I know that. Why? Did I do something wrong in my equation?
No, you just made it harder by taking 15 % and subtracting from 100% instead of just multiplying by 0.85
oh sorry I make things really complicated sometimes
