A circular pond has a 95cm wide foot path along the edge.A man walks around theouter edge of te footpath of 55cm long steps.In 640 steps he makes a full round.What is the radius of the pond

640 steps x 55 cm/step = the circumference of the outer edge of the circle.

Circumference = 2 times pi times radius.

The radius of the outer circle that the man walked, it 95 + r
This includes the radius of the inner circle called "r"

C = 2 times 3.14 times (95+r)

Fill-in the circumference that you calculated and you can solve for r.

(note 3.14 is an approx. for pi.)
A circular pond has 90 cm, wide footpath along its edge. A man walk around the outer edge of the footpath with 66 cm long steps. In 500 step, he makes a full round. What is the radius of the pond?
