you must know that distance = speed * time. So, just use that!
35min @ 60 km/hr = 35km
So, since 1:15 = :35 + :40, he drove for 40 min at 60 km/hr, retracing his route for 40 km.
So, 35km wrong way, 40 km right way, leaves him 5 km on his way to his destination.
