i) Work done = force x distance

= 157000 J (3 s.f.)
ii) Work done = force x distance
= 100 x 200
= 20,000 J
iii) The loss in kinetic energy = 1/2mu^2-1/2mv^2
(1/2 x 900 x 8^2) - (1/2 x 900 x 12^2)
= -36000 J
