A car going at 30 m/s undergoes acceleration of 2 m/s^2 for 4 sec. How far did it travel while it was accelerating??

Plz help thx

like I said, at every second the speed (30m/s) increases by 2m/s

so, 30m/s+ (2m/s^2)(4s)
how did you get that answer?
I mean like what is the formula to find out how far it was accelerating?
opps, I read the problem incorrectly. Here's the formula.

The distance = (1/2)*(acceleration)*(time)^2 + (initial velocity)*(time).
what is the initial velocity?
30m/s (the speed you start with)
but i got 184 for the distance...is that right? And also, on this answer sheet it says that the distance is 136 not 184. Is that correct or wrong?
It is 136. check your work!
thx!
i must've made a calculation error.
