I have to subtract 1.- 0.98765= I think it should be 1.98765 but I used the calculator to see if it was right and I get 0.01235 don't understand how that could be right?

It's right.

Think of the problem as money.

1. = $1.00

Take 99 cents away from a dollar and you have 1 cent left.

Ok Thank you so then 2.4- 2.3999 would be .0001 or just 1?
