since a = s^2
2a = (√2 s)^2
so, the side grows by √2
check:
if a = 2, s = √2
if a = 4, s = 2 = √2 * √2
2a = (√2 s)^2
so, the side grows by √2
check:
if a = 2, s = √2
if a = 4, s = 2 = √2 * √2
