expand the expression -3(10x-12) what method am i suppose to use is it distributed property if is how do i use it

Yes, you are right. Use distribution and multiply each number in the parenthesis aka the "10x" and "-12" by -3.

So it would be

10x(times -3) - 12(times -3)
-30x - -36
-30x + 36
