    Oh my, where should I start. I live in a fishing port so I am particularly sensitive to rise in ocean levels and changes in fish distribution due to water temperature changes. Cod fish are in trouble at the southern end of their range and southern stocks such as black sea bass are entering the Gulf of Maine.
As for what causes Global warming, changes in temperature distributions happen naturally but have been far faster recently than ever in the history of earth as far as scientists can tell. It is suspected that this is partially due to the increase of carbon dioxide and other gasses that absorb heat in the atmosphere. Increased carbon dioxide is mainly due to more burning of fuels and less growing of trees. Excess Carbon dioxide gets in the marine environment as acid and makes the sea water more acidic, preventing shellfish from growing shells properly (for example clams and coral).     I should have explained how when CO2 and other gasses absorb heat they make the surface of earth warm up. Here is a pretty good article on that:
