A hunter aims directly at a target (on the same level) 170 meters away. If the bullet leaves the gun with a speed of 40 m/s, by how much will it miss the target? i.e. What is the vertical drop of the bullet?

d = V*t = 170
40*t = 170
t = 4.25 s.

d2 = 0.5g*t^2
d2 = 4.9 * 4.25^2 = 88.5 m. = Vertical
drop.
