I missed these problems on my test and I want to see how you would do them the correct way!

1. Write an equation in slope intercept form that is perpendicular to the following table and goes through the point (2,-3)

X Y
------
3 5
5 6
7 7

the table describes a line with slope 1/2 (since y changes by 1 when x changes by 2)

Your perpendicular line must then have a slope of -2.

So, now you have a point and a slope:

y+3 = -2(x-2)
